How Much Does It Cost To Have A Tree Removed?

One of the most commonly asked questions we get is, “how much does it cost to have a tree removed?”, this is difficult because each tree and site conditions are different. Cost will vary widely based on things like, size and number of trees to be taken, if the tree is hazardous or difficult to get to. What is the surrounding area like? Will we be removing all of the wood and debris from the site? As well as a variety of other factors.

The best way to find out the cost for your individual situation, will be is to schedule a time to meet with one of our team members who will walk you through our process, things to consider, and work with you to make a plan of action for your tree(s).

Do You Take The Wood?

We remove whatever materials (such as: wood, branches, chips, etc,. ) that are produced from the tree work being preformed as dictated by our estimate and work order. However, you can absolutely keep whatever materials produced from your trees you want, anything else left over were happy to dispose of for you.

When Is The Best Time To Cut Or Trim A Tree?

There is no specific time when a tree needs to be removed or trimmed. However, there may be a wide variety of factors that contribute to when it may be a good idea to plan for it. If a tree is dead or becoming hazardous to have on your property, if it is creating too much shade and causing moss or algae to build up on your home, or if the tree does not work with the goals of your property, it might be time to schedule an estimate with an arborist and make a plan of action.

How Do You Tell If A Tree Needs To Be Cut?

A few things to look for when deciding if a tree needs to be cut:

  1. Is the tree is hollow.

  2. Does the tree has a fungal disease.

  3. Is the tree is dead or dying.

  4. Does the tree has a significant or new lean.

  5. Is the tree is in a hazardous location.

  6. Is there insect damage to the tree.

  7. Is the tree is casting too much shade on your property and it causing moss or algae build up

  8. Will the tree be growing into power lines, buildings or tight spaces

  9. Are tree’s fruit or seeds are causing problems

There are many other reasons for cutting a tree down, but these are some of the most common issues we see when speaking to our customers. Does Trimming Branches Harm The Tree?

“Proper pruning cuts with the right volume of trimming does not damage or risk the health of a tree.” There are specific methods and techniques that help to reduce the overall risk of harm to the tree as well as a volume of foliage that can be taken from each species that won’t negatively impact it overall health. What Do You Do With the Stump?

There are a few different options for what to do with stumps after a tree is taken down. The first being, we can grind the stump down to well below the yard surface and cover over the top to continue the grade of the ground. The second, is to use a machine to pull the remaining stump and roots and fill in the void to create solid base for the remaining yard and continue the grade. Both are viable options and will help to keep your space cleaner and easier to maintain.

Can I Trim My Neighbors Tree?

Leaning Trees, overhanging branches, creeping root systems, and falling leaves are frequent sources of tension between neighbors. Although you have a right to cut away branches that extend into your property, you can't significantly alter or kill a tree that doesn't belong to you. Be sure to check with your local laws and regulations before trimming or cutting your neighbors tree.
